Most people know that when you exercise, you burn calories. What they do not know, however, is that the only thing that burns up calories in the body is muscle tissue. The more muscle mass you have, the more calories you burn, therefore, the more you can eat without getting fat (HOMERUN!) This is a huge advantage because the more you eat when you are training, the better you feel, the more energy you have and the less difficult you will find dieting to be! 1. Exercise- strength training and aerobics When you do these activities the entire rest of the day results in burning up a lot more calories.
2. Eating Food- When you eat food your metabolic rate goes up. Not all foods increase metabolic rate equally.
NOTE: if you do not eat, your metabolic rate (the rate at which you burn calories) will decrease which results in less fat burning and eventually weight gain.
